Banca d'Italia

Designed by Luigi Broggi between 1907 and 1912,the Banca d'Italia building is characterized by a monumental style with a markedly nationalistic decorative, rhetoric flavour. Built in cooperation with Giuseppe Nava, in line with the culture of the Brera Arts Academy at which Broggi was a professor, this building was one of the first to be constructed in this area of the city that would eventually become the business district.
